LOCATIONS;
RESIDENTIAL;
 MYSIDA is a large, rural area just outside of the city, where most of the local produce is grown and harvested. It is littered with tiny cottages and small homes leaving it cosy and warm. Being on the outskirts of the city leaves it hard to travel but easy to live away from the city noise. There is a small train that comes hourly between MYSIDIA and downtown. |
 This residential area is classified as a middle class area that features medium sized homes and community parks. The houses are usually modeled after old European homes, much of which is probably just as aged. Living is simple and easy here much like living in a little town. |
 The WINHILL district is classified as the beautifully tucked away suburban area. The houses are a bit more pricey but larger, newer and particularly beautiful and modern. This area is suited for families or for people who have the money to buy a home here. |
 CORNELIA is yet another suburban district with homes that are large as they are modern and chic. Surrounded by man-made gardens and lakes, this area is said to be a little more pleasant to the green-thumb. Gardens or not, you’ll be paying a pretty price to be living in this area. |
 This apartment complex is one of the smaller ones, located just off downtown. As an alternative to students, these apartments are only one or two bedroom, leaving them not very suitable for families or groups of more than three. It may be cramped, but this apartment is usually full of good people and life fills its halls. |
 GARILAND APARTMENT COMPLEX is a high rise building also located a stone throw from downtown. It’s bigger, highly expensive, but can hold up to four bedrooms per apartment as well as single penthouses. The building overlooks the downtown core leaving a beautiful nightlight sight for those who love a view. |
 For children with nowhere to go, most of them find a home at KRAMER ORPHANAGE. Although it is small and the building old, it is full of love and nurturing until the children can either become emancipated or find a new home with loving parents. Unfortunately, the building is located a few blocks from the slums. Children up to the age of sixteen can be housed here. |
 These slums are full of old and aged houses that aren’t very much a sight to see. This area doesn’t have any parks or playgrounds as well, leaving it with little pleasantries at all. Although, it is cheap to live here and isn’t so bad once you get used to a few cockroaches and the area carries its own sense of personality. |
 WUTAI TOWN is a small district that is decorated in old and new oriental influenced architecture. It has been here as long as the city has seemingly been standing, leaving it homey and old. It looks like a page out of a Chinese fairy tale. Better yet, the houses range to all sizes and are decently priced. |
SCHOOLS;
 The main University campus in Memoria City is located in the very middle of downtown, making it one of the most defining marks in the area. The complex is large enough to host nearly every class and specialty that students would need. Classes run all weekdays and have night classes running on weekends for the busy or working student. Dormitories are available to the students for easier access to and from class. |
 Being the only High School in the city, TAVNAZIA HIGH SCHOOL is quite busy. Students finish their high school years in a richly equipped school that even has a courtyard sitting in the center that has recently been nicknamed "Al’Taieu" by the school populace. Students attending this school will spend three years here, attending grades ten to twelve only. This school has no dormitories available. |
 IVALICE JUNIOR HIGH is one of the smaller schools in the city, functioning in an old building that has been used as a school house for seemingly hundreds of years. Although the building is very old and harbours rumours of being haunted, it doesn’t stop it from being a bustling school for junior students. Students will spend grades seven to nine here. This school has no dormitories available. |
 The elementary school is actually quite large for a school educating the youngest students in the city. The building is a work of modern art with many glass windows. The playground for the students is one of the best in town. Students start their school years here and attend Kindergarten to grade six. This school has no dormitories available but has a daycare. |
 The theatre can be considered an educational building on its own, even though it is located on the BALAMB UNIVERSITY campus and functions as another branch of the school. This theatre is large enough to host a variety of arts classes ranging from dance lessons to music and various forms of acting and singing classes. |
 The ETRO POLICE ACADEMY trains the best of police employees, future officers and other security roles. Cadets must meet strict regulations and grades, both physically and academically to complete training. Once finished training, many recruits branch off to the GUARDIAN CORPS POLICE DEPARTMENT (GCPD) for active duty. |
OTHER LOCATIONS;
 The GOLD SAUCER SHOPPING MALL is a complex large enough to span various blocks and streets. It is known for having every single brand name store that one can think of and included many individually owned stores as well. There lies a large water fountain in the center of the mall. The building is also equipped with hotels and casinos. |
 This pub is one of the most popular buildings in town. All adults go here on the weekends to enjoy a fresh brewed glass of beer or just spend the evening with some good friends and watch the games on TV. Located just off of the GOLD SAUCER shopping strips. |
 The SEVENTH HEAVEN is another bar located closer to the university campus. This bar also has minor nights every Thursday for the youth underage, allowed to come and have a place of their own-- of course, alcohol-free. |
 SPIRA STADIUM is the epitome of sports central. It includes a large football field as well as a hockey rink for the biggest events in the year. While each season runs the current sport, there is still time for school teams to come and train in the mighty stadium. |
 This lovely hotel and resort is an escape from the city life and is the portal to a resort heaven. Located near the docks, COSTA DEL SOL overlooks the water and nearby beaches and always seems to have rooms available. This resort is equipped with rentable dinner halls and a wedding chapel as well. |
 The PALAMECIA HALL is where official Memoria City business takes place. It is home to our mayor's offices, and serves as both our common political meeting place as well as our courthouse. Town meetings are held in the community auditorium. |
 This colourful amusement park is for all ages and is open on the weekends only to the entire city. It is just as any other amusement park would be with rides, carnival booths and sticky snacks. This particular attraction has one of the largest fun houses you will ever see! |
 FISHERMANS HORIZON offers both seaside recreations in addition to being a major port. The Memoria City lighthouse, which is over 100 years old, is located near our rocky banks. For families, there are several fishing areas as well as recreational docks for boating and water sports. |
 The large, spidery maze of back alleys and side streets is commonly known to locals as NASHMAU. This area is largely populated by the homeless, drug dealers, gang members and other various hoodlums. It is usually safer to steer clear of this area. |
 FIGARO’S, a combination coffee/art house, is a typical hangout for University students. The ground floor houses some of the finest espresso-based drinks in the area (and they make a mean hot chocolate, too!). Upstairs, there is a small gallery that displays some of Memoria City's best art. Local musicians perform every Sunday. |
 SAINT AJORA HOSPITAL is the center of health for the city. As the largest hospital, most cases are sent here for both emergency and long term stay. The building is beautiful as it is equipped with everything it needs. This particular hospital also has an impressive intensive care unit as well as psychosis ward. |
 ARCHYLTE PARK, located in the heart of Memoria City, is home to over 80 different kinds of trees and plants. Almost fifty years ago, the Park's Conservatory Society introduced a man-made lake into the middle of the park. Soon thereafter, a rumor began to circulate that a monster had taken a home there, and to this day the rumor still exists. |
 Memoria City's very own open-air market, the MOGNET MARKETPLACE offers local produce from the outskirts of the city, as well as various crafts and other products, from jewelry to jams! The weekend farmer’s markets are always packed. |
 Located within ARCHLYTE PARK, the bird conservatory is home to over 30 different species of exotic birds. With a walk around tour, you are offered the beautiful sights of parrots, finches, budgies, and even strutting peacocks. Some of the macaw species are friendly enough to be held. |
 Located a few miles down from the docks, SUNLETH BEACH offers clear blue waves and bright white sand. Families can spend the hot days relaxing here, and surfers can be seen trying to find that perfect wave. |
 ST. FABULA NOVA CRYSTALLIS CHURCH, often nicknamed simply, "Nova Church" is known as the largest church in the city. With towering buildings and beautiful architecture, it is one sight to behold. It is located very close to the heart of the city and ARCHLYTE PARK. |
 Set near the outskirts of the city in a fenced off field. This archery range was built for the enjoyment and practice of the citizens and both memberships and guest passes are available. The archery range is actually simple and fairly small. |
 Tucked in a quite part of the city, the library is a gathering place of knowledge and education. With floors of books, computer labs and study rooms, it’s the center of information and the best place to find the answers to anything. |
 ISTORY MUSEUM is the grand center of the arts within the city. With exhibits changing each month, there is always something new to discover. They carry all forms of art, showcases and pieces of history. There are rumours that the top floor of the museum is haunted and many ghost stories are spread around. |
 This little ranch is located very close to the MYSIDIA area, and is famous for raising the most powerful racing chocobos the city has ever seen. The owners have created their own special foods for the chocobos and have special training regimes and breeding programs. |
 SHINRA INDUSTRIES is the premier supplier of energy, oil and gas for the entire city. They also have a powerful pharmaceutical division that develops and produces many of medicines and drugs to the health sectors. This duel-purpose company is the wealthiest in the city and an economic super-power. |
 GUARDIAN CORPS POLICE DEPARTMENT is the head office for all reporting officers, as well as the headquarters for briefing and paperwork. Prison holding cells are located in the basement. There is a branch department called SEED which is a department strictly for officers that can be hired out as personal guards/security or for event personnel. |
 LUNATIC PANDORA is the resident night club that is open every single night to the nocturnal types in the city. It’s located extremely close to NASHMAU, although this club is said to be one of the best for its high class and talented staff. There are rumours a darker type of organization uses the club as a headquarters. |
 FABUL GYM is a large, locally owned and operated gym. It offers a variety of aerobics and specialty classes, as well as state of the art exercise equipment. Also equipped with tennis courts, recreational areas and a skating rink! |

Since the city is created from the memories of the characters, many places will come to exist because of those memories either now, or later on (i.e. Ultimecia’s Castle, Opera House) in the game.
